Chalmette High School
What's New?
Chalmette High School in St. Bernard Parish, LA. was one of
several schools severely damaged by Hurricane Katrina. Local
leaders are making a big push to get the school rebuilt and
re-occupied for the second semester of 2006.
The first part of the school needed to be ready by
mid-January. The heating contractor, Clean Air Solutions,
needed perimeter heating product that could be delivered
within two to three weeks, and needed a heating product that
was quick and easy to install. After researching several
options, it became clear that Runtal was clearly the best
choice.
Runtal was able to Quick-Ship the RF-2 radiators for Phase
One by January 5th, and the radiators were installed in time
for a visit by First Lady Laura Bush, who recently made a
good-will tour of the High School and surrounding Parish. The
next phases of Runtal heaters are currently being installed,
and Chalmette High School should be completely rebuilt very
shortly.
Runtal is proud that we are able to help out with the
reconstruction efforts in Louisiana.
